Boiler Feed Water

All natural waters contain varying amounts of dissolved and suspended matter and dissolved gases. Since water impurities cause boiler problems, the feed water being added to the returning condensate must be pre-treated to minimise operational problems and maximise plant longevity.

The purity requirements for any feed-water depend on how much feed water is being added to the condensate stream, as well as the particular boiler design.
