Water Treatment
The reduction of wastage and the recovery and re-use of water are major objectives in the modern world. Driven by both environmental and cost issues, the need to generate increasing amounts of high quality water in parallel with reducing costs and wastage is paramount.
Water treatment describes an extremely wide and varied field of applications including the removal of suspended solids, chemical treatment, hardness reduction, etc. Pre-filtration, ion-exchange, activated carbon treatment and final polishing are all generally used techniques to prepare water prior to use in the process stream.
