Amine Filtration
Allowing solid contamination to build up in a re-circulating Amine system causes a number of well documented and recognised process problems.
Foaming within the contactor tower is a common problem allowing Amine to carry-over from the contactor tower in the gas stream. Expensive anti-foaming agents are often used to try to control this problem, but as the solids level builds up, ever increasing amounts of anti-foam has to be used.
Pump and seal failures are also common resulting in costly down time and ongoing repairs and disruption.
The only permanent solution to the problem is to use an efficient on-line filtration system capable of removing the harmful solid particles in the system.
