Paints and Coatings
The processing of paints and coatings covers an extremely broad spectrum of very different fluids. The filtration and conditioning of these fluids can vary from being a basic liquid/solid separation process involving simple low viscosity Newtonian fluids, to heavy solids laden complex and viscous Thixotropic fluids.
Coatings filtration involves paints, oils, varnishes and lacquers covering a wide range of viscosities and rheology, with the percent of solids in a coating varying from zero percent (when filtering solvents or water) to 100% solids, such as pure linseed oil.
